We've a sweet little afternoon post to share with you today, courtesy of Mr & Mrs Unique – a wedding directory that celebrates the more quirky and unusual style wedding supplier. Founder of the directory Erica explains :
'Mr & Mrs Unique london is a wedding directory that celebrates the unusual, the quirky, the interesting and above all, the unique aspects to weddings that so many couples seek these days. Now a flourishing and highly successful directory representing the best of the more unusual wedding suppliers, Mr & Mrs Unique has brought together like-minded businesses and offers a colourful array of suppliers; a blend of the extraordinary, talented, the crazy and downright amazing!'

'To celebrate the talent we've gathered together in the Mr & Mrs Unique directly, we recently ran a competition for one lucky couple to win a styled shoot with some of our most talented suppliers (see links at the end of this feature). It was an amazingly fun day with the winning couple, Lucy and Rob, and it was a pleasure to work with a couple so very much in love.'

Lucy, of real life couple Lucy and Rob, who were the models for this shoot tells us a little more :
'I was quite nervous about the photo shoot but realised quickly when I met the team that I had nothing to worry about. Erica from Mr & Mrs Unique and Binky from Binky Nixon Photography were so good directing us and putting us at ease so Rob and I quickly relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves.
Doing the shoot in Hove was amazing – the beach hut supplied by Vintage-Events was beautiful and the people were so friendly.'
'The whole day was brilliant Rob and I had a great time and the photos are unbelievable. We are so glad that we got the opportunity to take part and would like to say a massive thank you to all the people involved.'
'My hair and makeup was done by The Beauty Artist who did such a great job – I honestly felt like a movie star! Rob and I got to try some delicious cocktails, invented by Lizzie from Wedding Yurts and tasty canapés by Social Pantry. Plus I got to wear some seriously beautiful jewellery by Isobel Hind Couture, and was given a stunning bouquet to carry, designed by Fearless Florals."
'I actually wore my real wedding dress on the shoot – it was designed and created by Charlotte at Wilden Bride. I was really excited about getting to wear my dress again! When Rob and I got engaged, I threw myself into dress hunting with a vengeance, I tried on so many gowns, and our house was knee deep in wedding magazines. However I quickly became disheartened, nothing seemed very different or personal, I think I went a bit dress blind! Luckily I found Charlotte at Wilden Bride.'
'We set up a meeting and discussed what I liked and what I felt comfortable in. Quickly the ideas started to flow, and we decided on a 1920’s style dress with a dropped waist and low cut back, from there Charlotte produced some beautiful sketches and a voile.''Originally I had wanted a vintage dress but found they were all much too tiny, luckily Granny let me raid her fabric box and I found some amazing antique lace nightgowns. Over the next few months Charlotte set to work, I’m sure that I drove her round the bend with a constant stream of ‘quick ideas’ but she was always very good at steering me back on course.'
'The end result is a dress I will always treasure, it is so personal to me and I have the happy memories of the whole design process, which I just loved.'
Well there's a post jam-packed with some fantastic supplier links if ever there was one – definitely a few links to take time out to explore if we may say so too. And I especially recommend Lizze of Wedding Yurts and The Raw Chocolate Parlour who I have personally worked with – her yurts and indeed her incredibly delicious (and don't you know, actually very good for you) chocolate is out of this world!
Our thanks to Erica of Mr & Mrs Unique for sharing this photoshoot with us today. We hope these images have inspired you and that the suppliers links have been helpful.

There’s no denying it, Mark Cavendish and Chris Hoy are cycling legends. And admit it - at least.
